Wine Club Logo & Business Card Design
A client reached me a ew months ago and requested that I design an elegant, expensive looking logo to represent an online boutique wine shop. The virtual store was supposed to be a continuation of the client’s small chain of wine stores situated in the heart of Jerusalem’s beautiful marketplace Shuk Machane Yehuda called Yayin BaShuk (Wine in the Market Place).
Naturaly, we did quite a a bit of research on the topic before beginning with the design process. Wine clubs are a developing extension of modern culture that are designed to provide club members with a variety of unique social experiences that include wine samplings and tasting parties. They also give club members the opportunity to purchase limited edition and exclusive series of wine bottles on a monthly or quarterly basis. Wine clubs often host parties in a themed manner, providing recipients with red wines, white wines, or a mixture of the two, and are most frequently hosted by vineyards or specialty wine shops, like Yayin BaShuk.
The client provided a very particular brief depicting very specific graphic elements that she wanted to be incorporated in the design. The elements included a business man sipping from a tall, festive glass, a dominant W, lots of vines, and dramatic calligraphic swashes. The client and I went through a number of sketches and styles in search of the best, most suitable looking logo, and at long last, we got what we set out to achieve. Please let us know what you think of the final product in the comments below. We hope you love it as much as we do!
